Episode 3 – Richard Brown talks African Swine Fever

In Episode 3 of Feed For Thought we speak to Richard Brown from GIRA about the “other” virus disrupting our supply chains, African Swine Fever.

We hear about why it is the most significant thing to impact global protein markets in a lifetime, gain an update on the spread of the disease and talk about where could be affected next. We also discuss what the impacts have been in China regarding livestock production, protein consumption and how coronavirus has exacerbated the effects of ASF.

Shannon Behary our Editor at Feedinfo, also gives us our fortnightly news and markets roundup and we have an update on our plans for the Feedinfo Summit.

Episode 2 – Improving the image of the livestock value chain

In our second episode released earlier today, we speak to Anne Villemoes the former VP for Group Communications at Danish Crown, about how our industry can address the image problems the livestock value chain faces.

Anne has many years’ experience focusing on consumer perception and we discuss how we should tackle misinformation posted online, what the entire value chain and individual businesses can do to improve their image and what might happen if we do not tackle these issues now.

Episode 1 – Coronavirus in the animal nutrition industry’

If you haven’t seen our summary of how the coronavirus is affecting the animal nutrition and feed industries, we’d recommend you take a look at our section on this (unless you are a subscriber to Feedinfo already, in which case you already have access to this through your account!).

We discuss what the effects of the virus have been so far and how vitamins and amino acids pricing has been affected by the challenging logistics and quarantine restrictions.

The episode also features an industry news update from Feedinfo’s Editor in Chief Simon Duke, to keep you up to date on the latest stories from the animal nutrition and feed industry.
